Arrive at Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport, where your guide and car meet you. The guide can help you buy a local SIM card before you drive to your hotel.
The rest of the day is yours. The Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake are close, and an evening walk is the easiest way to feel the city.

The ancient capital’s caves and a boat through limestone peaks.
After breakfast you drive about two hours south to Ninh Binh. The morning is for Am Tien Cave, a historic site inside the Hoa Lu ancient capital complex.
Then a boat trip through the Trang An landscape passes three main caves such as Sang, Toi and Nau Ru, between limestone peaks and green water. You return to Hanoi in the late afternoon.

Early in the morning you leave the Old Quarter by private car for Ha Long Bay and board the Verdure Lotus Grandeur Cruise at midday. A welcome drink and a safety briefing come first, then a lunch buffet while the ship sails among the islands, passing Fighting Cock Islet and Finger Islet.
In the afternoon a small boat takes you to Luon Cave, which you can explore by kayak or bamboo boat (optional). You can climb Ti Top Island for a panoramic view of the bay and swim in its green water. In the evening: sunset on deck, an optional Vietnamese cooking class, dinner under the stars, then karaoke, a drink at the bar or squid fishing.
Note: The route and schedule can change with weather and tide, and swimming or kayaking can be cancelled in bad weather. Drinks and massage are not included.

Sunrise tai chi, a great cave and an evening in Hanoi.
Start the day with a tai chi class on the deck at sunrise. After a light breakfast you visit Sung Sot Cave, one of the largest in the bay, with its stalagmites and stalactites and a panoramic view as you step out. Back on board you check out while a late breakfast is served on the way to the port, then drive back to Hanoi.
In the afternoon you discover Hanoi’s centre: the Old Quarter by cyclo, Vietnamese egg coffee, the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake and an evening water-puppet show.

From the north to the cool central highlands.
After breakfast you go to Hanoi airport for the domestic flight to Dalat, a highland city of pine forests, lakes and French-era villas. You reach your hotel in the afternoon and have the evening to walk and settle in.

Views over the plateau, flower gardens and a forest village.
From the summit of Langbiang you see the whole city and the plateau, with optional activities such as horse riding and jeep rides. Then the Golden Valley, known for its landscapes, colourful flower gardens and clear streams.
The Co Lan village of the Co ethnic group sits in the forest and is counted among the most beautiful old villages in Vietnam. The day ends at the Valley of Love, one of Dalat’s best-known sights, where you can walk the lakeside or try horse and bicycle rides.

Unusual architecture, a Zen monastery and a pine-lined lake.
The day begins at Hang Nga Villa, known as the “Crazy House” for its unusual, dreamlike architecture. Next is Truc Lam Zen Monastery, the largest in Lam Dong, a quiet place above Tuyen Lam Lake and the surrounding mountains.
Tuyen Lam Lake covers about 350 hectares among pine forests and emerald water, a favourite for photographs. The day ends at the Sculpture Tunnel, with sculptures that recreate Dalat’s old railway station and the Con Ga church.

A yellow station, a royal retreat, a porcelain pagoda and a tea hill.
Dalat Railway Station is one of the oldest in Vietnam, a bright yellow building with bold European lines. Palace I, beside the site of King Bao Dai’s retreat, is a vast complex of about 60 hectares and one of the grandest projects of its time.
Linh Phuoc Pagoda is decorated entirely in ceramic and glass pieces, which is why it is also called the “broken-tile” pagoda. The day closes on Cau Dat tea hill, with wide landscapes, mountain views and, with luck, a sea of clouds and a beautiful sunrise.

After breakfast you go to Dalat airport for the domestic flight back to Hanoi. The rest of the day is yours.
